La Esperanza Farm, Colombia
Bourbon Rosado, widely known as Pink Bourbon, is celebrated for its remarkable sweetness, delicate fruit character, and complexity. This lot from Finca La Esperanza undergoes a natural process with double fermentation, developing an expressive cup that highlights the coffee’s fruit-forward character.
Expect notes of red berries, caramel and peach, supported by a silky mouthfeel and a lingering sweetness.
Origin & Processing
Grown at 2,030 meters above sea level at Finca La Esperanza, this Bourbon Rosado undergoes 48 hours of double fermentation as part of its natural processing. The cherries are dried with the fruit surrounding the beans, while the fermentation stages contribute to the development of the lot’s aromatic complexity. The result is a vibrant, fruit-forward profile with layers of sweetness and a smooth, lingering finish.
Roasted at Origin
Most Colombian coffees leave the country as green beans and are roasted elsewhere. Ours are roasted in Colombia, closer to the producers and the coffee itself. This allows roast decisions to be informed by a direct understanding of the farm, the harvest and the process behind every lot, while ensuring that more of the value created by coffee remains in the country where it was grown.
